I have so much fun taking engagement portraits in the summer months. The city & county is bright and vibrant. Though I love shooting in the two or three hours before sunset for that gorgeous golden light, I also love to photograph when the sun is out and beating down on the lovely couple.
Getting to Know Each Other
Doing engagement sessions prior to your wedding with Through the Lens Photography gives us an amazing way for me to get to know my clients, and for them to get to know me. After the session is done, the couple is more relaxed and come the wedding day they're comfortable with myself and being in front of the camera.
We had really gotten to know each other by this shoot, which made it all the more fun and relaxed.
Summer Engagement Portrait Outfits
Whether you would like to dress up for the engagement session or keep it casual, either way I tell the couple to wear something comfortable and have a second outfit as back up should you want to change too!
Don’t feel like you and your significant other have to wear the same color or match exactly for your portraits.
If you pick a color palette and mix and match, your portraits will have more variety and they will feel timeless!
